Do women make better doctors?


While women are becoming doctors in ever-increasing numbers, it’s clear that they’re every bit as good as their male colleagues. But a recent New York Times article poses the question: Do women make superior doctors than men? The article, written by female physician Pauline Chen, came out of a conversation with one of her male patients who claimed that he preferred Chen to male doctors because women behave in a motherly fashion. And there is some science to support this.
